Timbre

Tone memory for writing agents

Your edits become tone rules

Timbre learns how a voice sounds on each channel. Agents send draft/final pairs, writing samples, and post outcomes. You review the proposed rules alongside their evidence. Only approved rules are served to writing agents.

  1. Create a voice on the dashboard, such as hauke or a brand slug.
  2. Create an API key in Settings and connect your agent to /mcp.
  3. Ask the agent to read get_tone before drafting and record_edit after your edits.
  4. Review pending proposals on the voice page. Approve, reject, or retire rules.

Channels

X, Bluesky and chat use a casual register. LinkedIn, blog, SEO articles, email, launch and README use pro. Voice-wide rules apply to every channel. Without a channel, get_tone returns only voice-wide rules.

Owner control

Your agents can propose rules and corrections, but cannot approve them. Pending changes leave the current approved rule in place. Examples are always verbatim passages from approved or published writing. Timbre stores tone, not biographical facts, and never publishes on your behalf.
